MPC Jam One

I’m borrowing an Akai MPC 2500 for a few days, so time for some more jam tracks…  Beat played on the MPC, one-shot FX samples via an MPK Mini and the rest on the Novation SLMk2 keyboard.

Here’s a brand new track played entirely using apps on the iPad - specifically, two Korg apps: iMS20, a recreation of their late ’70s analogue subtractive synth, and iElectribe, the software version of their up-to-the-minute drum machine - the hardware versions of both are very popular tools amongst DJs, producers and beatmakers in a variety of genres.  ”Subtract” was played part-by-part on the iPad and assembled in Logic, then synced with video of each performance.  Take a look…
